Membership Directory and Community Guide: Ten thousand Membership Directory/City Guide Magazines are distributed to members, new residents, new businesses, hotels, welcome centers, prospective new residents & businesses and so many more places. Area Realtors use this guide as a relocation tool. All members are listed twice, alphabetically and by categories. This magazine is a way to reach more local customers and employees.
Internet Exposure: The Chamber’s home page includes a business directory of our members, giving them worldwide free exposure. Members can hyper-link from their personal web page to their Chamber listing for free at www.olivebranchms.com. Our database, ChamberMaster, allows members to post job vacancies, events and specials/sales you may be having. You can also update your profile, write a summary of your business, and post your member to member discounts, all that will be seen on our webpage.
Member to Member Advertising on our Website: Under our Member section, this gives our members the opportunity to offer other Chamber members discounts for their business and services. They can also post upcoming events on our community calendar. A member can receive one set of mailing labels with all Chamber Members and each set thereafter is a small fee.
Coupon Flyer: A flyer done twice a year where only members can advertise is a way to connect members with a new customer base. The flyer is mailed to new Olive Branch residents and all Chamber Members.
Grand Opening Ribbon Cuttings or Ground Breaking: These ceremonies, which increase the visibility of new or expanding businesses, are provided for Chamber members only. The Chamber also posts its new members in a separate section on our webpage, on our Facebook and in our newsletter. New businesses are also introduced during our monthly membership luncheons each month.
Membership Luncheon: Held on the second Wednesday of each month with approx. 200 members present. The luncheons are sponsored by a few of our members and are held at the Whispering Woods Hotel & Conference Center. This is an event that offers members an opportunity to interact with others from the business community, while also hearing speakers on topics of great interest. The luncheons are included to Chamber members and reservations are required.
Customer Development: This networking event is held the second Wednesday of each month prior to the membership luncheon. This time offers casual friendly networking, and an opportunity to talk and get to know other members. A Member Promotional table is set up for members to display information about their business. – “Just Lunch Y’all” is a casual lunchtime networking event held on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Held at different member’s locations, no reservation required, and everyone pays for their own food.
Biscuits & Business: Held at 7:30 a.m. quarterly with a light breakfast served. This offers an opportunity to meet fellow Chamber members and introduce your services to each other. Bring plenty of business cards! This event is included in membership for up to two business representatives and reservations are required.
Leadership Development Program: Offering programs to members that will help build a stronger, better business community with strong leaders.
Certificates of Origin: Documentation necessary for overseas shipments – the Chamber provides this certification at no cost for members and a $50 fee for non-members.
Resource Center: Information resources are available at the Chamber and on the website. Examples include community demographics, history, community information, local phone directories, a list of clubs and organizations and local maps. Our Membership/City Guide magazine is a great resource for anything you need to know about Olive Branch.
The Chamber also has a Business Center that can be used by its members for business related events and meetings. A small cleaning fee is charged.
Christmas Parade: Organized each year by the Chamber, we welcome organizations, churches and citizens to participate in the parade. Held the first Saturday in December at 2 p.m. This Parade is just one of our ways of giving back to the community and creating a warm community event.
Annual Spring Event: An evening that offers dinner, entertainment and networking and awards to Small and Large Business of the Year, along with the McCauley and Connector of the Year awards.
Golf Tournament: Held each spring. Participants of this 4-man scramble, shotgun start, enjoy awards, lunch, dinner and prizes. Various levels of sponsorship opportunities are available. A great way to meet future customers/clients in a relaxed atmosphere.
Business Expo: Held in the fall and open to members and non-members (for an increased fee). This program, open to the public, is to benefit and promote businesses.
The Chamber Messenger Newsletter: A free subscription to the Chamber’s quarterly newsletter which provides specifics about upcoming events, recognizes new members, and announces any valuable information and upcoming programs.
Another valuable resource is the weekly mass email detailing the Chamber’s and Member’s upcoming event. Have events to the Chamber Office by Wednesday for Thursday’s email.
Connectors Committee: A volunteer group that helps the Chamber distribute information to new and existing members. They also help connect members to Chamber activities and to other members. This is an effort to include more of our membership in Chamber activities, while also representing their business.
